It finally happened. I got fed up enough with the 2003 Altima to make a move. With only a shade under 35,000 miles on the odometer, I took the car to a local Nissan dealer a few weeks ago to have recall and warranty work performed. Seems there was a recall on the exhaust, which should have only involved shaving down an exhaust hanger pin. WRONG. Turns out the engine needed to be replaced because the catalytic converted had come apart and was sucked into the engine. So today I took it to a Jeep dealer in Hagerstown. Traded the worthless bag of bolts for Jeep #4.

So as of early this morning, I'm engaged. Aimee and I had been talking about it for a while and it was only a matter of time before I popped the question. So while she was sleepily making coffee this morning, I slipped out of bed a made my way downstairs. I called our dog Dunkin over as I rubbed my right thigh, which was a bit sore from storing the ring in my pocket while I slept. Aimee swore I couldn't surprise her, but I was going to do just that. I grabbed Dunkin's tail and slip the ring on like it was a finger. He looked at me, then at his tail, the he tried to eat it. As quietly as I could shout, I told him no and to go see Aimee.

He walked into the kitchen with me in tow, and I told her to look at Dunkin. She looked at Dunkin's tail and said "What is that. What is that? WHAT IS THAT?!" So I guess everything else is history.
